Before students choose A-Level subjects, university courses, TVET programmes or work routes, help them check requirements, likely costs, possible barriers and a realistic Plan B.
Each student leaves with a written route map. Your school receives a report showing common gaps, planned actions and where further guidance is needed.

WHEN GUIDANCE HAS NO WRITTEN PROCESS
Good advice can still leave students without a workable plan.
A student may choose subjects without understanding where they lead. Another may select a university course before checking entry requirements. Some follow family pressure. Others have a preferred career but no affordable route towards it.
Teachers then answer the same questions one student at a time. Parents struggle to compare costs and alternatives. School leaders cannot see which students have a workable plan and which still need help.

The S4 edition focuses on subject choices and the routes those choices may open or restrict. The S6 edition covers university, TVET, training and work options. Current entry requirements must be checked with the responsible institution before a final application decision.

FOUNDING SCHOOL PILOT

01Why invite an external specialist when we already have teachers?+
Your teachers know your students. Future Route Uganda adds a shared decision method, scheduled workshop time and materials staff can continue using. Teachers retain their guidance role and may observe the delivery.
02What will the school have after the programme?+
Students retain their route maps. The school receives a report with no student names, a teacher follow-up guide, a parent discussion guide and a 30-day student check.
03How will you measure the programme?+
The pilot records attendance, completed route maps, missing information, dated actions and route quality against agreed criteria. The 30-day student check reviews whether students completed their action or found the information they needed.
04Where is the Ugandan evidence?+
Earlier international feedback shows Kim’s career-readiness teaching experience. It is not presented as Ugandan ROUTE evidence. The founding pilot uses a readiness check, completed route maps and a 30-day student check to build permissioned evidence from Ugandan schools.
05How do you keep pathway information accurate?+
S4 and S6 materials are reviewed against current official sources before delivery. Learners are taught to verify entry requirements, fees and application details with the institution or regulator responsible for them.
06What does the $900 pilot include?+
The founding fee covers school preparation, a short readiness check, a ROUTE session led by Kim, student workbook, teacher guide, parent discussion guide, a school report with no student names, a teacher follow-up session and a 30-day student check. Travel, accommodation, printing and applicable tax are quoted separately.
07Do we have to sign an annual contract?+
No. The founding pilot has no automatic renewal. Your school reviews the delivery and outcome report before considering a wider programme.
08Can we inspect the materials before approval?+
Yes. Download the School Decision Pack to review sample workbook pages, a completed route-map example, the delivery plan, sample school report and safeguarding summary.
09How do you protect student information?+
The programme collects only the information needed for agreed reporting. School staff remain present. Reports contain no student names, and sponsors do not receive student personal data. Names, photographs and testimonials require permission.
10Can parents take part?+
Learners receive a parent discussion guide. A parent briefing can be added to the agreed scope when the school needs one.
11Do students need phones or internet access?+
No. The programme can run with printed materials. Digital activities are used only when agreed with the school.
